How to Automatically Trigger an Overlay after a Timed Delay
This article (& video) will show you to set up the timed delay automatic trigger in Divi OverlaysAs of Divi Overlays 2.0, you can now trigger overlays automatically with a timed delay. Setting a timed delay trigger is simply to do. Just follow the steps below.
First, navigate to the overlay edit screen for the Divi Overlay that you’d like to set up the timed delay trigger.
Then, scroll down to the box that says “Automatic Triggers.”
Select “Timed Delay” from the dropdown, and type in how many seconds you’d like to delay the overlay from triggering (leaving it blank will trigger the overlay immediately on page load).
Next, you can leave the “All Pages” selected if you’d like. This will automatically trigger the overlay on all pages. Or, you can choose “Only Specific Pages” to trigger the overlay only on select pages. Simply select the pages/posts from the list, or you can start typing for autocomplete.
Lastly, you’ll notice that the two additional settings, are selected by default: “Disable on Mobile”, and “Display once per page load.” We recommend leaving both in the default states. Google can potentially penalize websites that have popups (overlays) on mobile that open automatically. (This only applies to automatic triggers)
