Divi 4.0: What it is, & What it Means for You!

Elegant Themes has officially launched Divi 4.0!

Yesterday I went LIVE on Facebook and YouTube to discuss the update and what it means.

I gave a quick overview of the new features included, what it means for Divi overall, how it affects the 3rd party product landscape, AND what it means for Divi Life products!

Spoiler: All of our products here at Divi Life are working smoothly with Divi 4.0 so far! 🙂

    I’ve built most of my site using layouts, but I see huge benefit in using templates (I’ve been wanting that feature for a while) – what is the best way to go about moving existing pages/elements over to the “new” features/functionality?? Seems like it could be a bulky process and basically REBUILDING the whole site. I’d love to hear how other people are attacking this.

      Hi Holly,

      So the new theme builder doesn’t replace the use of layouts. It just adds the ability to customize new areas of the site using the Divi Builder (header/footer/post templates, etc). I’d recommend playing around with the new theme builder on a local or dev site to get familiar with it. You can import the new template packs that ET has been adding to their blog. 🙂
