What is Divi Bars?

Divi Bars lets you create gorgeous promos, optins, notification messages, & more. The best part though, is that you can do so with the Divi Builder! This means you can say goodbye to the boring old school looking promo bars you see around the web, and say hello to modern and unique promo bars that are sure to impress your website visitors (and clients too!).

To see just how powerful Divi Bars is, I highly recommend you watching the video embedded at the top of this post . It gives you just a glimpse of what is possible with this powerful and feature-packed plugin.

A Few Features to Highlight

Divi Bars of course let’s you set automatic triggers that will drop-in (or slide up) your bar at just the right time. You can trigger it on page load, a timed delay, a scroll delay, and even Exit Intent technology!

Other features include choosing top or bottom placement, cookie expiration control, close button customization design options, and even scheduling, which is great for time specific sales or notices.

One feature that truly sets Divi Bars apart from anything in existence, is that it’s more than just a highly effective marketing tool.

Divi Bars becomes a user-experience design tool, because it lets you set click triggers for your Divi Bars. This means you can give your users access to hidden content with just a click. With Divi Bars and a click trigger, you just gained some whole new website Real Estate! And it’s content that is delivered to the user without them having to wait for a new page to load. Double win! 🙂

Gorgeous Templates Included

We all love the Divi Builder and how easy it is to create beautiful designs. But sometimes it’s easier and quicker to start with a layout template. That’s why we’ve created some gorgeous Divi Bar layout templates that come free with Divi Bars!

Hi, just curious to know if you can control Divi bars on a page by page basis or if it is site wide?

On the schedule can you do times and days?
For example, show bar every Friday between 9:00 and 11:00
    That would be awesome!

Hey Dave, not yet, but that’s coming soon! Currently you can set a starting and ending time, but not a recurring sequence like your describing. But that’s definitely in the works 🙂

Nope, I’m afraid it doesn’t. There appears to be a bug. I’m told they are investigating.

Hi Ray, you are correct. There is a bug that is affecting the formatting on Extra currently. We have a fix for it already, and will be pushing the update for it within the next day or so.

    Looks great!
Suggestion, can you add the ability to insert short code?
This would make it perfect to insert anywhere and not just top or bottom in Divi.

Hey Cesar, you can sort of do that already by placing the layout template on the page directly, but not with the functionality of being to close it and trigger it at specific times. But your suggestion is noted, and I think that would make a great feature! 😊

I already have overlays, Why/When would you use this instead of overlays?
If you use both on a website will they conflict?

Hey Paul, valid questions. Divi Overlays are for creating popup overlays (full screen, or modal style), while Divi Bars slide in from the top or bottom and take up less screen real estate. In terms of using them for marketing purposes, there is some overlap in their uses, however promo/notification bars are often looked at as being less intrusive as it doesn’t cover up any of the content. And yes you can absolutely use both on the same website with zero conflicts. We made sure of that when developing Divi Bars. In the promo video, we show them being used together by triggering overlays from Divi Bars 🙂

Are they mobile compatible, pop ups covers the whole mobile screen, so I was thinking if the bars would be different?

Hi Rajesh, great question! Yes Divi Bars is 100% mobile compatible, thanks to Divi’s responsive grid! If you have a lot of content in the Divi Bar then it will take up more screen real estate on mobile, since the columns and content stack. So what I recommend doing is hiding different modules or rows on mobile using Divi’s built in settings. Another method is to duplicate the row, and have one for desktop that is hidden on mobile/tablet and one for mobile/tablet that is hidden on desktop. So the promo bar text could read on desktop: “Divi Bars is here! Get it Now with an exclusive launch discount!” And then the mobile version can read, “Divi bars is here!” 🙂

Just purchased! Looks like another Divi Life winner! (keep up the great work)
    – Question: I have not installed it yet, but will there be any need for ‘documents’? (since there is none….but I believe creation is a no-brainer)

Tim, what are the licensing and support details? Unlimited sites? One year support?

      Hi Patrick,

Divi Bars has the same pricing and licensing model that is common in most Premium WordPress plugins/themes. There are four different license options: Single Site, 3 Site, Unlimited Sites, & Lifetime Unlimited. The first three options require a yearly renewal to continue receiving updates and support, while Lifetime Unlimited is a one time fee, and includes use on unlimited sites, as well as unlimited updates and support for life. 🙂

    Hey Tim,

I just purchased the Divi Bars Lifetime. I noticed it works with DIVI Builder but what about the DIVI Theme?

    Reply
    • Avatar

Thanks for purchasing Lifetime 🙂 Yes, Divi Bars absolutely works with the Divi Theme. The majority of our customers use the Divi Theme exclusively (opposed to Divi Builder plugin), so that is primarily what we test for and optimize for. All the examples in the video are of the Divi Theme 🙂

    Hey Tim,

Great plugin. Is there a way to close the bar after a specified time automatically? Or even after some scrolling? That would be an extra benefit.

Magnificent! Found a similar way of doing this from an elegant themes blog post through code but it overlaid the top bar cutting off the logo instead of pushing the page down. This is perfect, thanks for developing this.
